November in Houston: What’s Buzzing This Month 🐝
Somehow it’s already November, and Houston is still acting like it’s July. But honestly? I’m not mad about it. We get the best of both worlds — sunshine, cooler evenings, and plenty of events still on the calendar.
If you’re looking for something fun to do before the holiday chaos kicks in, here are six can’t-miss Houston happenings for the rest of November.
Fleet Week Houston
November 9–16, 2025
For the first time ever, Houston is hosting Fleet Week — complete with Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard ships, public tours, and demonstrations. It’s patriotic, impressive, and something completely new for the city.
Pro tip: Grab a coffee, wear sneakers, and be ready to take a few “look-at-this” photos.
Tequila Fest Houston
Saturday, November 15, 2025
This one’s for my cocktail lovers. Tequila Fest brings together premium tastings, food vendors, and live music for a full day of flavor and fun. Whether you’re a margarita minimalist or a sipping-straight purist, there’s something for everyone.
Bonus tip: Bring a friend who snacks — balance is key.
Houston 25K & 5K Run
November 23–24, 2025
If you need a reason to move before the Thanksgiving food marathon, this is it. The Houston 25K is part of the city’s marathon series, with several distance options and lots of community energy.
Even if you just walk it, post-run brunch counts as victory fuel.
Louvre Couture at MFAH
Opening November 19, 2025
Fashion meets fine art in this stunning new exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Direct from Paris, Louvre Couture highlights centuries of haute couture and design masterpieces.
Perfect for a solo museum day or a chic afternoon with friends.
Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market
November 13–16, 2025
The holiday season officially starts here. The Nutcracker Market is back at NRG Center with hundreds of vendors, festive finds, and plenty of sparkle. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s impossible not to leave in the holiday spirit.
Grab a peppermint mocha and call it a festive day out.
Islamic Arts Festival
November 15–16, 2025
Art, music, and culture come together at the Islamic Arts Festival, the largest of its kind in North America. Expect live demos, handmade crafts, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
It’s colorful, creative, and the perfect way to spend a weekend afternoon.
The Buzz Wrap-Up
Houston might not bring us sweater weather, but it makes up for it with sunshine, creativity, and a calendar full of cool things to do. Whether you’re sipping tequila, exploring an art festival, or finally starting your holiday shopping, November still has plenty to offer.
With love + a little Houston buzz,
